A Lake County woman receiving LIHEAP
assistance wrote: "Having you help me and my mother
this year with our utility bill was a godsend. It
was way over my head, and I didn't know what I was
going to do until I remembered this agency. My mother
is on oxygen 24 hours-a-day, and we couldn't be without
electricity, so you see it was a matter of life and
death also for me. Thank you from the bottom of my
heart for all the help you have given me."
A central Illinois recipient wrote: "I would
like to thank you for the assistance I got this past winter. On
my fixed income, it really came in handy when my bills went up
and I wasn't able to afford them. Without the program I wouldn't
have been able to pay my bills and I would have been without service.
I thank you again for all your help."
From a Kane County client: "I am a LIHEAP applicant
and I am just writing to say thank you. I thank you so very much
for the help that you have given me. Your letter ended saying 'We
appreciate this opportunity to serve you.' I feel you didn't have
to say that but it's nice to know one takes pride in their work
when giving. God Bless all of you involved for caring."
A southern Illinois recipient wrote: "This program
will help me to feed and clothe my son better in the cold weather
months. Please help all the children that need this."
